Bogota Latin Bistro is a restaurant in Brooklyn serving up authentic Colombian food.
Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, vegan options are marked on the menu and there is a fair amount of choice on what is otherwise a meat-heavy menu. This makes Bogota Latin Bistro the ideal place if dining with non-vegans, for there is something for everyone and ordering is nice and simple.
The Vegetable Empanadas are vegan-friendly, as is the Guacamole and the Pico and Chips. It's worth checking also if the Black Bean Dip is vegan served without the sour cream. If you sub out the cheese on the Spinach and Mushroom Quesadilla and have guacamole instead of crema, then you have a great vegan entree. And the traditional Colombian soup Lentejas (lentils, potatoes, carrots, peppers & cilantro) is vegan by default. All of the Salads on offer are also completely vegan and you can bulk one into a bigger meal by adding Tofu Steak.
On the Dinner menu, you'll also find a separate Vegan/Vegetarian section which includes two further options: Tofu Tomatillo and Quinoa Cakes. The majority of sides are also vegan-friendly, so there is little chance of leaving Bogota Latin Bistro hungry.
