Citrico

Citrico is "Brooklyn’s purveyor of fresh authentic Mexican food". Located in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, Citrico opened in the spring of 2014 and is known for serving dishes with bright, bold tastes and recipes that pair authentic Mexican ingredients with citric flavors. Regulars love it and newcomers can't wait to return.

With an extensive Vegan Menu, Citrico caters brilliantly for herbivores and there is plenty to choose from. Select from two types of Tortas (one with vegan chipotle mayo, the other with vegan queso), three different tacos (the Frijole con Nopales being a favorite - cactus, black beans and vegan queso), Tostadas, six soup and salad options and then the Entradas and the Enchiladas. Vegans will be excited at the thought of Jalapeños Rellenos (poppers) made with plant-based cheese as well as the Gorditas de Frijol (homemade tortillas stuffed with black beans topped with vegan crema and queso). Three different flavors of Enchilada are available to choose from, the most exciting of which is the Enchiladas Verde - tofu scramble enchiladas with salsa verde and vegan crema and queso.
