CHICA is a small takeout window serving Chicana (Mexican-American) style food for breakfast and lunch. Their dishes pair Mexican flavors with Latin American and California flare and are crafted using both traditional and non-traditional techniques. They use as much organic ingredients as they can from local, reputable sources. All of their takeout materials are compostable or recyclable.
Their vegan and gluten-free options are clearly marked on their menu. Vegan dishes include a creamy polenta breakfast bowl and their create your own mexi-bowls where you can choose from mexi-rice, quinoa, greens or a veggie medley (or a mixture), topped with cucumber, cabbage slaw, escabeche (pickled jicama, jalapeno, carrot and onion), pumpkin seeds, herbs and a choice of sauce (huacatay, chimichurri or BBQ mole).
