Zizzi restaurants offer Italian inspired food. The interiors are designed to give the restaurants Italian flair with touches of the local area. Zizzi's specialty is Rustica pizzas, which are bigger, thinner and crispier than the pizzas you might know from other pizza places. The hand stretched pizza dough is combined with creative toppings. Their pizzas are made in wood stone ovens, like they make them in Italy. In addition to their main menu, there are local specials. Zizzi restaurants are registered trademark holders of the Vegan Society and so, they have an extra menu for vegan customers. There are gluten-free options as well. Zizzi purchases free-trade coffee and hot chocolate. Most of their wines are vegan-friendly. Zizzi wants to be a company which acts socially responsible: Zizzi tries to reduce the restaurants’s carbon footprint, for example by recycling used cooking oil into biodiesel, and they support Cancer Research UK and Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
Good news for vegans: You don’t need to go without cheese! Zizzi now offers a vegan mozzarella alternative: the Mozzarisella. It is 100% vegan, 100% organic and made entirely from germinated, Italian whole rice - no soya, gluten, lactose, food colouring and preservatives. Moreover, Zizzi offers a vegan dessert: their coconut & mango swirl gelato.
