Mamoun's Falafel serves up authentic Syrian/Lebanese cuisine from its Hoboken location.
Many traditional dishes are simple preparations of grains, vegetables and fruits - making most vegetarian options vegan-friendly. Cucumbers, eggplant, chick peas, nuts, tomatoes, bulger, and sesame (seeds, paste and oil) are all key ingredients, and parsley and mint are used liberally - alongside lemons, onions, garlic and olive oil. Pita bread is always served for dipping.
Mamoun's Falafel's menu is divided into Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian sections, making ordering a much simpler affair. It's always worth double checking with your server, but hommus, falafel and baba ganouj are always likely to be vegan. The range of vegetarian Pita Sandwiches also look to be completely plant-based (including Grilled Zucchini and Eggplant-Falafel), just make sure your choice comes with a tahini rather than a yogurt dressing.
Mamoun's lends itself to group ordering where you all dip in and share - allowing you to try a bit of everything. But it's also a great choice if dining with non-vegans because you can all order off with same menu with very little fuss.
